The body is a machine.
The mind is the operator. bettermi is the interface. Built in Seinäjoki for people who want signal instead of noise, and a coach that reads the whole system instead of one metric at a time.
Fitness software fragmented into a dozen apps and a dozen separate acts of willpower. We think that’s the actual problem.
You log lifts in one app, food in another, sleep on a ring that costs more than a year of coaching, and none of them talk. Every one of them hands you a number and leaves the interpretation to you — at 06:40, before coffee, when interpretation is the last thing you have.
A good coach doesn’t do that. A good coach knows you slept badly, knows the shoulder, knows you travel on Thursdays, and adjusts the session before you ask. That relationship has always cost roughly €200 a month, and it has always been rationed to two hours a week.
bettermi is that relationship, built as software: one agentic coach with memory, reading every input you can hand it — a photo, a voice note, a video of the lift — and rewriting the plan in real time. On duty for all 168 hours.
Your data is not the product.
bettermi is a Finnish company operating under GDPR, and the product was built that way from the first commit rather than retrofitted before an audit.
What we do
- Coach conversations and meal photos are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate your reply, and to no one else.
- Health data comes from HealthKit or Health Connect with your explicit, revocable permission.
- Full export and full deletion are available to every user, in the app, at any time.
What we don’t do
- No advertising. No data sales. No third-party trackers on this site.
- No sharing of health data with insurers, employers or data brokers. Ever.
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store and Google Play — we never see a card number.
What bettermi is not.
It is not a doctor. bettermi is a fitness and wellbeing product, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything. If something hurts in a way that isn’t training soreness, see a clinician.
Nutrition numbers are estimates. Vision models are good at reading a plate and imperfect at it. Every number is tappable because every number can be wrong. If you’re peaking for a competition, weigh your food.
Auri is a model, not a person. It has memory and judgement, and it will sometimes be confidently wrong. Tell it. Correction is a supported action, not an edge case.
The full terms of service and privacy policy are available here and in the app.
